BRABU Issues Notice for Continuous Holidays — Check Complete Schedule Here: Taking an important decision, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur has announced additional holidays for students, teachers and staff. The Vice-Chancellor of the university has issued an official notice on 17 October 2025, declaring 18 October (Saturday) and 29 October (Wednesday) as discretionary holidays.

This holiday has been declared after considering the request given by BUTA (Bihar University Teachers’ Association) and BUSTA (Bihar University Staff Teachers’ Association) on 16 October 2025.

“The Vice-Chancellor, after due consideration of the representation dated 16.10.2025 of BUTA & BUSTA, has been pleased to declare discretionary holiday on 18.10.2025 (Saturday) , 29.10.2025 (Wednesday) in continuation of holiday already declared from 20.10.2025 to 28.10.2025 for University Offices, its allied offices, University Departments & Colleges (Constituent & Affiliated).”

18th to 29th October Diwali and Chhath Puja holiday:

The university was already scheduled to remain closed from October 20 to October 28, 2025 on account of Diwali and Chhath festivals.

Now according to the new order, there will be a holiday on October 18 (Saturday) and October 29 (Wednesday) also.

This means that the University and all its colleges 18 October to 29 October 2025 till total 12 There will be continuous days off.

The representatives of BUTA and BUSTA, in their representation letter dated 16 October 2025, had requested that the period between Diwali and Chhath festival be made a continuous holiday so that students and employees can return safely to their respective homes after celebrating the festival. Considering this request, the Vice Chancellor announced the said additional dates.
